UrieWProd's News

Posted by UrieWProd - 4 days ago

Okay, I have some good news and some bad news, but first the bad news...

I deleted my Twitter and Facebook accounts, too much drama around the devs of the platforms, and I might return there just to get my friends' numbers back for real life talk, as we were all fine before social media.

The copyright to my company's logo and my books' logos didn't pass certification since they were not creative enough. I may have to design them again in later editions.

Now for the good news...

My NG account is here to stay as the only account on NG, as alt accounts are illegal in NG, I'm staying as a writing/animation company, can be more fluent in Python with raylib, can save time printing manuscripts with pages consisting of multiple pages put on them, moved to Linux for disaster contingency reasons and my first book, Cori and the Hidden World was released on Amazon!

I'm making more stuff to back up this occasion, so that I will create posts on it soon. Catch you later!

Successfully formatted my first book and completed 7+ songs for the game/animation on the fly in 3 days! Still waiting to hear from the copyright office while I'm writing several more songs. Also made a lot of characters black, including the main.

Working on the nightmare-busting shootemup as well as a barebones RPG battle system I can use for the RPGs I made books of. For the shootemup, I can't find a way to get a good concept of stage design, unless I can draw the stage parts and show someone. I still need to master using Tiled to see where I can go with both. The rest of the games are okay.

I'm still thinking about when many of these projects are getting finished. There is still a lot of thinking to do about my social media pages and their layouts when I post stuff about me and when I post about myself on them. I got me and my company as separate pages, so let me know if that's good. Off to work!

Got my art groove back via the Stallion Theory and the concept of expressing your art voice.

My first book is about complete. All it needs is a copyright, ISBN, cover art and a barcode before selling it in book form. The second book's event gists are complete, so I need to only write the second book. The DLC chapters of the first book are already gisted, so I'm writing them in its own book.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Made the jump to coding in Python, and it was the best thing ever since sliced bread. Coded 2 complete game dictionaries across 2 separate programming languages. Okay, I'm back into game development again.

I forgot I need the graphics design for the cover art of my books.

It's sad to say that I will not do art, music, programming and animation anymore. I will just write books, instead. I found out that I can make a killing and make quicker work with books. I'm still picking out a day of the week to post.

I'm 38!!! YAY ME!!!

Okay, I will be posting weekly from now on. But I will pick out a day dedicated to the schedule. While at that, I'll be whipping up something nice for my profiles. It isn't easy being the next big thing!

Redone nearly all of my social media pages, rethought my choice of doing an art style based on my outlook of the world and is nearly completing a book and 4 demos in Stencyl from the ground up while learning that I can copy my behaviors' code and use it however I like knowing Python or similar if it goes down!

I'm not too far from making an introductory direct on my company. Also there are many surprises in production, so you'll have to wait a bit more to see what I'm talking about...

Until next time!

Update(3/13/2023): Planning went extremely smoothly after finishing an RPG's first book, a very anonymous biography and then learning to handle 2D game projects in a newer light(such as battle scenes/multiple points of view by fake emulation, the use of maps to handle everything and even saves and a level growth system), so I'm making most of my games completely 2D. Bugg It 1&2 will follow Bugg It 3 as retro-casual arena platformers. I won't say how many players are involved in this, so you'll have to see it yourself.

Update(2/19/2023): I've decided that the old, casual, mouse-clicking bug-swatting game wasn't going to do. I'm going to somewhat make the game in the format of Bugg It 2. 2 and 3 should follow very easily and the first game has a new gameplay style and protagonist. My new art style hasn't been introduced yet, so bear with me.
